Baylor University Application Updates

Shot from the ground looking up at a large red brick building beneath a bright morning sun with students walking towards it. Applying to Baylor.

Revamped
Admission Process

We have moved away from traditional admission decision plans and now use a simplified process based on application deadlines.

We highly encourage students to apply by November 1, as this deadline gives them the greatest access to scholarship opportunities, such as being automatically considered for merit-based awards and invitation to specialty scholarship events if eligible.

If your students are unable to apply by the November 1 deadline, we do offer a February 1 option. Students applying by this later date will still be automatically considered for merit-based scholarships, though they will not be eligible for invitation to specialty scholarship events.

Admission File Deadlines

November 1 Binding (Early Decision):

  • Student will receive an admissions decision by December 15
  • Student must deposit by February 15
  • Student will automatically be considered for merit-based awards and invitation to specialty scholarship events if eligible.

November 1 Non-Binding:

  • Student will receive an admissions decision by February 1
  • Student must deposit by May 1
  • Student will automatically be considered for merit-based awards and invitation to specialty scholarship events if eligible.

February 1 Non-Binding:

  • Student will receive an admissions decision by April 10
  • Student must deposit by May 1
  • While they will not be considered for invitation to specialty scholarship events, student will automatically be considered for merit-based awards, and they may still qualify for numerous additional scholarships in Baylor's Scholarship Universe, a portal provided to accepted Baylor students to find unique scholarship opportunities.

CSS Profile and FAFSA

The CSS Profile and the FAFSA will open on October 1, 2025.

Encourage your students to complete both of these financial aid applications as soon as they're available so they can be considered for need-based financial aid.

Non-citizen students may be considered for Baylor-funded, institutional need-based aid (if eligible) by completing the CSS Profile.

  • October 1: The CSS Profile and the FAFSA open
  • November 1: Priority deadline to submit the CSS Profile for November 1 Binding and Non-Binding applicants
  • February 1: CSS Profile final deadline and FAFSA priority deadline for applicants

Please be aware that merit-based scholarship offers are final upon admission.

Your students can earn anywhere from $10,000 - $25,000 a year * (renewable for up to four years at Baylor) by simply applying to Baylor! No separate application is required.

Helpful Resource: Self-Reported Academic Record

Self-Reported Transcript & Academic Record System:

We recommend that students self-report their academic information, including coursework and grades, with the Self-Reported Transcript and Academic Record System, or STARs. This allows Baylor Admissions to process the student's application more holistically by providing a better understanding of their GPA and individual coursework. To learn more, visit baylor.edu/STARSLinks to an external site..

Helpful Resource: Transcripts

Transcripts:

Transcripts require significant time and attention, so please remind your students to send in their transcripts now to complete their application files. We accept either official or unofficial transcripts, although official transcripts are required for final enrollment at Baylor. Visit this webpageLinks to an external site. for more information on transcript requirements, like how to submit them and what you should include.
