Parent Liaison

Hello Mt. Zion High School Families!
2025-2026
My name is Towando Hodo-McMullen, and I proudly serve as the Parent Liaison here at Mt. Zion High School. As part of our Title I Program, I am here to support, empower, and engage our parents, students, and community stakeholders to ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.
🌐 What is Title I?
Title I is a federally funded program that provides financial assistance to schools with high numbers or percentages of children from low-income families. The goal is to ensure that all students meet challenging academic standards. At Mt. Zion High School, Title I helps fund essential resources, technology, instructional programs, and parent engagement initiatives.
My Role as Parent Liaison
As your Parent Liaison, I am here to
Build strong home-school partnerships
Connect families with school and community resources
Support student learning by empowering parents
Coordinate workshops, meetings, and events that keep you informed and involved
Parents' voices are heard in decision-making processes
📣 How Can You Get Involved?
We believe that parents are their child’s first teacher, and your involvement is crucial. Here are a few ways to stay connected:
Attend our Parent Engagement Nights and Title I Meetings
Visit our Parent Resource Center located in the main office
Participate in school committees or volunteer opportunities
Communicate regularly with teachers and staff
If you ever have questions, need assistance, or want to become more involved, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I am here to serve you—our families, our students, and our community.
Together, we are building a stronger Mt. Zion!
Warm regards,
Towando Hodo-McMullen
