On Oct 26, 2024, Mt. Zion High School’s Marching Bulldogs attended the US Bands STATS
Georgia Marching Band Competition in Albany, GA. MZ took first place in the
STATS Group 2 Red division.

Mt. Zion High School, along with winning first place, also received the following:

2024 STATS “Best Drum Major”
2024 STATS “Best Music”
2024 STATS “Superior Rating”
Since its first event in 1988, US Bands has supported the development of scholastic performing
ensembles through exceptional service, high-quality adjudication, and world-class venues. Over
the past 35 years, US Bands has expanded to include thousands of bands in 150+ marching band,
indoor, and concert band events nationwide.
Their guiding principle is to provide ensembles, regardless of style, size and experience, an
opportunity to be successful while allowing students to benefit from their involvement with
Scholastic music. The rules that govern US Bands events are minimal by design. US Bands
prides itself on a user-friendly approach to support and service, in which directors and
performers can fully enjoy the performance process without the concern of overly punitive rules
and penalties.
