Master Sergeant Sandra Davis is an Air Force JROTC Aerospace Science Instructor at 

Mount Zion High School, Jonesboro, Georgia. She teaches AFJROTC aerospace science, leadership, drill and ceremonies and Presidential Youth Fitness challenge curriculums. She serves as liaisons between the Air Force and civilian agencies in the aerospace field, and performs career and performance counseling for AFJROTC Cadets. She is also an advisor for the Mt Zion Circle of Sisterhood female mentoring organization. 


On 5 March 1986, she entered the United States Air Force.  After completing basic training, she attended Information Management Technical School at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi.  Her first assignment was at Little Rock Air Force Base Arkansas where she worked as an Administrative Specialist. She was one of the Base Aerobics Instructors, played on the Base Varsity Women’s Volleyball and softball team. She served as a volunteer and mentor in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program. 


Her careers, various duties and achievements in the in the Air Force are listed below:

a.  Suwon Air Base, Korea.   She worked as a unit Personnel Administrative Specialist.

     - She was recognized by leadership for her ability to be a self-starter and willingness to accept responsibility.


b.  Zweibrucken Air Base Germany. She was NCOIC of the Orderly Room and Unit   Administration and a Security Police Augmentee.

- While performing as a Security Police augmentee, she responded to a car accident in which a reservist was injured.  She performed first aid for shock and cuts, administered oxygen in the ambulance and served as a translator for the victim and the medical team at the German hospital.  She was referred to by her commander as the “heartbeat of the orderly room”. 


c.  RAF Chicksands, United Kingdom.  She worked as Non Commissioned Officer In Charge (NCOIC) Customer Service and NCOIC Manning Control and Individualized Newcomer’s Treatment and Orientation Program.  

- She received the “Pat on the Back” award from the Headquarters United States Air Forces in Europe Inspector General Team, The Base INTRO Monitor of the Quarter Award.  She was President of the First Five Enlisted Council, Secretary for the CBPO Professionals, Den Leader for the Boy Scouts of America, active member of the Black Heritage Club, American Youth Association and Air Force Sergeants Association.  She received “Sharpshooter” award and the “Top Gun” award for her dress and appearance in uniform. She was also selected as Personnel Manager of the Year and the MPF NCO of the Year.


d.  Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. There she worked as NCOIC, of Employments and Assistant NCOIC Relocations Element.

- She was president of the Mission Support Squadron Council, played on the squadron softball, basketball and base championship volleyball team. She received the Military Personnel Flight Monthly Quality Award, selected as the Military Personnel Flight NCO of the Quarter, handpicked by leadership to assist as the Tiger Team Chief in the initial development of the Military Personnel Flight Strategic Plan. She was a member of the local Personnel Concept III training team and was an integral part of one of the most successful Personnel Concept III installs ever.   She was a Postal Center volunteer and an active member in the Air Force Sergeants Association. 


e. Kadena Air Base Japan. There she worked as NCOIC Commander Support Staff Team Chief, Relocations, Quality Advisor Instructor and NCOIC of Operations Group Manning.

- She was selected as Military Personnel Flight Professional (MPF) of the Month, secretary of the MPF Booster Club. Organized Special Olympics for disadvantage youths and planned a Christmas Party for the local orphanage.  Recognized as a gifted speaker, she was handpicked as Mistress of Ceremony for the Woman of the Year. She was a judge for the Amelia Earheart Science Fair. She was recognized for spear heading a recycling program; the first ever in her squadron. She did several motivating speeches for the local high schools. Under her supervision and leadership, her Commander Support Staff (CSS)was selected as the Commander Support Staff of the Year.   



f.  Recruiting Squadron, Rome Georgia.  She worked as an Air Force Recruiter

- She received 5 of the squadron Commander’s prestigious Gold/Silver commander production awards, recognized as “Top Flight Recruiter.” She earned NCO of the Quarter.  She was a key player in her squadron receiving Air Force Recruiting Service “Squadron Standard of Excellence Award. She was actively involved in Business Leaders of America, served as a court appointed member of the Floyd County Juvenile Court Citizen Panel of Review Board. She was a volunteer for Good Neighbors Ministries, a program designed to provide assistance to the homeless.  


g.  Eglin Air Force Base Florida.   There she worked as Assistant NCOIC Outbound Assignments, NCOIC Personnel Employments and NCOIC of Personnel Relocations.

- She as the Personnel Support for Contingency Operations (PERSCO) team chief and led her team in 4 Operational Readiness Exercises; drove performance from marginal to “Excellent”.  Her team was noted for achieving 100% accountability for deployed forces and was recognized as 1 of 11 “Outstanding Teams”. She chaired the Top 3 Senior Non Commissioned Officer (SNCO) Induction Seminar Logistics Committee; executed first rate event for 100 MSgt (s).  She was selected as the SNCO of the quarter for her squadron. She worked as a volunteer at the base Pet Welfare Center.  



Master Sergeant Davis is married and has a son, daughter and granddaughter.

Master Sergeant Donald L. Wilson is an Air Force JROTC Aerospace Science Instructor at Mount Zion High School, Jonesboro, Georgia. He teaches AFJROTC aerospace science and leadership curriculum. He also serves as liaisons between the Air Force and civilian agencies in the aerospace field, and performs career and performance counseling for AFJROTC Cadets

Master Sergeant Wilson entered the Air Force through the Basic Military Training in 1983 as an Air Traffic Control Operator Specialist. He was stationed at Kessler AFB, MS for 16 weeks for technical training and an addition 4 weeks as an associate assistant instructor. He was then stationed at RAF Bentwaters and RAF Woodbridge where he worked as an Air Traffic Control Operator and Trainer. He was then stationed at Shaw AFB, He served as an Air Traffic Control Tower Operator, Tower Watch Supervisor and Trainer. In 1995 was selected for Special Duty for Air Force Recruiting Service where he served as a Non Prior Service Recruiter for the 336th Recruiting Squadron, Moody, GA. where he was awarded the Senior recruiting badge twice. He was then assigned to the 331st Recruiting Squadron as a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) Liaison, Atlanta MEPS, Atlanta, GA.  He then served as a Flight Chief, Baton Rouge, LA. Where he was awarded the senior recruiting badge as a Flight Chief. He served as group Trainer with the 360th Recruiting Group, Hanscomb AFB, MA. He retired, at Hanscomb AFB, MA. 2006 after 23 years of service.  In 2006 he was hired as AFJROTC instructor for Clayton County Public Schools working at North Clayton High School. He has since also been assigned to Mundy Mill High School. He currently works at Mount Zion High School since 2012 where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University. He has earned his Advance AFJROTC Instructor Certification. He has been awarded the Outstanding JROTC Instructor Badge. Married to Meco Wilson and has two daughters Madison and Mallory.
